Message from the co-chairs of ICOMP12

On behalf of the international organizing committee of ICOMP, we are pleased to welcome you to the 12th International Conference on Multiphoton Processes (ICOMP12), which will take place from the 3rd to the 6th of July, 2011, at Hokkaido University in Sapporo, Japan. This year we are honored to welcome Professor See Leang Chin as Honorary Chair and to host this prestigious conference in the historical campus of Hokkaido University. We would also like to thank all the invited speakers for accepting our invitation.

ICOMP12 will cover the following research topics:
(i) Nonlinear optical interaction,
(ii) Multiphoton processes
(iii) Strong field ionization of atoms and molecules
(iv) Quantum control of atomic and molecular dynamics
(v) Intense laser-field science
(vi) Laser acceleration of electron and ions
(vii) Imaging of electronic and nuclear dynamics
(viii) XFEL and XUV pulse generation
(iv) Laser machining

This year, ICOMP12 and ATTO3 will be held sequentially at the same venue. You can attend either conference or both. The last day of ICOMP12 will overlap with the first day of ATTO3, so that attendees of both conferences can enjoy an enhanced level of interaction.
